The Sweatshop Family INSTRUCTORS Emmanuelle LePhan For a number of years, Ottawa born Emmanuelle has used her knowledge of street dances such as bgirling, house, popping, new jack swing, locking, and has explored a special fusion style of contemporary hiphop. Since 1999, through her alias of b-girl Cleopatra and Manoodles, she has built her extensive background in b-girling by competing, repping and appearing in music videos internationally. Emmanuelle has also studied contemporary dance and obtained her BFA at Concordia University. After which she co-founded Solid State Breakdance Collective, and then danced for Marta Marta House of Pride... Jennifer 'Bounce' Casimir (BA Leisure Studies, Concordia University) Jennifer has traveled extensively performing and battling professionally throughout Canada, the U.S and Europe. She presently works as a dancer and performer for the following companies: Solid State (Montreal), Flamenco Confusion (Spain), and Full Circle (NY). She was one of 30 dancers chosen world wide for the intensive training at the Red Bull Beat Riders 2007 (Texas). She has trained intensively in NYC for over a year under the pioneers of breaking and continues to practice on a daily basis to refine her skills. She includes a daily practice of... JoDee 'Feisty' Allen JoDee Nadene Allen, a.k.a b-girl Feisty, started Breaking in 2000 and has trained with street dance legends such as Ken Swift, Zulu Gremlin, and Don Campbellock. In 2004, JoDee was one of only 30 dancers selected world wide to attend the prestigious Redbull Beatriders Street Dance training camp. She has studied House dancing in Montreal, Los Angeles and Miami, and has been an active member of the Montreal Breakdance Community for the past 8 years. Erich 'Ddimplz' Etienne Jack-o-Lution Miss Sugarpuss, aka Holly Gauthier-Frankel Miss Sugarpuss, aka Holly Gauthier-Frankel, has been heating up Montreal's burlesque scene since 2005, and has performed in countless shows in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Chicago, France, and Tokyo! With her series of Sweet Moves dance classes, and her award-winning one-woman burlesque show, “Miss Sugarpuss Must Die!,” Miss Sugarpuss peddles her saucy brand of burlesque wherever and whenever she can! Once you experience the sweetness she offers, you'll understand why Miss Sugarpuss has been dubbed "Montreal's Queen of Burlesque!" Ariane Bernier Avant de commencer la danse j'ai d'abord fait quelques années d'acrosport pour ensuite me diriger vers le jazz simonsons que j'ai pratiqué pendant 5 ans avec la troupe de danse du collège Sainte-Anne. C'est à ce même moment que j'ai découvert la danse hip-hop.j'ai fait parti de plusieurs troupes et participé à de nombreuses compétitions.
